The political and educational role of women in the first Saudi state ( 1139-1233 AH / 1727-1818 AD) (Historical and cultural study)

Abstract

The current research aims, through the descriptive approach, to highlight the role of women in political and educational affairs in the first Saudi state, which was established in the year (1139-1233 AH); This is to create a reliable reference for the issue of women’s empowerment in the twenty-first century and their participation in the development and progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially since many historians and researchers have neglected the role of women in the first Saudi state, or referred to it only with faint references. The research included an introduction and two requirements: The first requirement: The role of women in the first Saudi state in politics, the second requirement: The role of women in the first Saudi state in education, and a conclusion that included the results and recommendations of the research. The research produced a number of results, the most important of which are:

Women in the first Saudi state made an invaluable contribution to consolidating the foundations of the state and establishing its structure. They had a role in rescuing leaders and linking ties by marriage. Saudi women had a role in fighting, leading armies and managing battles. They also had a role in encouraging education and learning and spending on it. Political leaders have a role in enhancing the efforts of women in the first Saudi state and empowering them.
