Abstract

Installation art is one of contemporary art currents where the artist organizes a place by adding certain elements and structures of different materials by placing or hanging them in a space and the viewer can enter it and wander around, movement and music can be used to express the topic,so that this artistic current is an interdisciplinary art form. Research is an important step towards studying the positive role of the receiver in installation. The interaction of receiver with art has always been an interesting path. Installation gives a special character to the spaces. It was not just a composition between objects, but it dealt with the entire space. It created a different artistic genre that could be used for theatrical performance. The receiver becomes part of it immediately after entering the space. This is one of the most important features of installation that can transform the space into a spatial environment suitable for live performance. Thus, the environment that is formulated by the imagination of the artist through installation performances appears his desire to record a moment, and create something different, as with the same culture and its different needs.
Interactive installation art in which the audience enters it to deal with interactive elements and artistic configurations that respond to the interaction of the audience with them, where the artist has special interest in using the participation and interaction of the audience to discover the meaning of his work, there are many installations have a special nature and the characteristics of a theatrical performance in which the audience interacts with it, where the research clarifies the boundaries between installation and scenography,If the elements of scenography are available. In the sense that the installation alters places and spaces in a special way to be valid to present a performance that the audience interacts with where the audience is often the performer, overlap between arts through combined action to create a theatrical situation.
The aim of the research is to find complementarity and the interrelationship between scenography and installation art, which one influences the other? Is scenography design influenced by installation art? Or do installations evolve beyond the scope of their goal and move to being a different state of performance approaching theatrical performance?Through this hypothesis, the researcher tries to explore this reciprocal relationship and find some results that may be a new beginning for the development of theatrical performances in the 21st century.
