Abstract

Abstract :
special effects Photography are a set of techniques used by a photographer to change the appearance of photographs, beyond simply taking a picture, which may or may not mimic actuality but have some illusory qualities to convey information to the viewer in a way more attractive and effective than the traditional image. Many of these effects take time and in-depth technical knowledge. Using these effects makes the image more influencing. The research explores the most important techniques that are used to produce artistic photographs using special effects and tries to break the confusion between many concepts related to special effects such as experimental photography and alternative photography through studying many techniques by analyzing a group of the work of the world's leading photographers

Research problem: There is a great ambiguity in the concept of experimentation in photography that may reach its limitations in modifications using the computer. There is also severe lack in studies that dealt with the inventory and classification of technologies that change the appearance of the photo. Until now, there is no complete exploration of all the features of the medium, which causes lack of specification of special effects. Nor do I study their production methods or understand the techniques used in them

Research Objectives:
Determine the characteristics of technologies that produce a photographic appearance that does not simulate reality.
Distinction between alternative and experimental photography and special effects
Analysis of various artworks covering many different visual techniques
Methodology:The study relies on careful analytical reading in many artistic photographic works in order to understand and analyze the techniques used.
Keywords: artistic photography, special effects, experimentation with photography, alternative photography, visual illusion
