A future vision for developing eco-tourism (natural reserves) in view of industrial design

Abstract

Eco-tourism is considered as one of sustainable tourism types that aims to take advantage of the potentials of tourism, heritage, preservation of the environment for the longest possible period, and achieving the economic development for the society and biodiversity conservation.
Industrial design field is one of the important and necessary fields, as it can contribute in effectively to the field of eco-tourism, especially natural reserves, for its ability to innovate, design, and develop projects that meet the needs & requirements of the tourism environment of all kinds. Therefore, the situation in Egypt still has many deficiencies in media awareness Whether in the field of industrial design, modern technology and eco-tourism, which still did not receive the necessary care that needs. None of the responsibles from the various authorities showed a great interest in making contact or exchanging knowledge between them. Therefore, the research focuses on clarifying the importance of industrial design and the role it can play in order to overcome the obstacles and problems facing the environmental tourism investment of the reserves in Egypt as a way that does not negatively affect their vital components and contributing In protecting cultural heritage, natural , artistic, and achieving sustainable tourism development through the use of modern means and technologies. The research followed a descriptive analytical and empirical approach.
The research aims to give considerations for the design and development of natural reserves, while developing innovative designs, ideas and feasible systems that work to protect reserves, achieve the needs of the local & global community and their aspirations in exploring the reserves in the future. To achieve research objectives, this was applied in the Graduation Project course, fifth-level students/Industrial Design Department/College of Applied Arts/Beni Suef University. The results showed the role of industrial design in providing innovative ideas and solutions for projects that develop eco-tourism for natural reserves and preserving cultural heritage.
