Cultural heritage inspiration in sequential art to express identity (Analytical study)

Abstract

Peoples are distinguished from each other by their identity, which is an integral part of the upbringing of individuals until the end of their existence in life, this distinction may be through facial features, habits- traditions- experiences- sayings……Etc, and when these traits are passed down through the generations, we are here to talk about a cultural legacy.
So talking about the concept of cultural heritage and identity produces for us a newly homogenous compound, extremism in talking about cultural heritage in terms of definition and elements is only talking about national identity and its human effects in number of different historical and temporal stages to include the material and non-material heritage and if we add to this homogeneous complex of identity and cultural heritage the element of art, so here we add a mirror that reflects the culture of peoples through successive generations.
The researcher has chosen the art of comics to review some models of a number of different countries to determine the extent to which this art has influenced the cultural heritage of these peoples individually and how effective it is in expressing the identity of these peoples and the reason for choosing this type of art for having its special nature as it is considered easy abstinence at the same time, it is also preferred by a lot of different ages, which gives the art of comics an important attribute, which is the spread and the responsibility of this spread that to express the different intellectual requirements for the large base of the recipients. To ensure continuity and expansion of the presence , this art draws from the roots of the past (difference of heritage) to create a present with a future.
