The role of heritage civilization in enriching the designs of Saudi currencies in light of (Vision2030) in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

Heritage is one of the axes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 and the cultural heritage is an important element that contributes to the vitality and brilliance of society, which helps to develop the cultural and artistic outcome of the individual and society, as it is one of the visual means that enrich human culture, which reflected in the development of national sense as one of the axes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision. The banknote considered one of the ways to identify and define the Islamic, Arab and national heritage of the Kingdom, so the need arose for such research to study paper currencies, with description and analysis, considering that they are documents rich in symbols and connotations, so the banknote has become a wide gateway to the entry of art and heritage into the lives of members of society and upgrading its taste. Realizing and feeling diverse heritage.
The research problem summarized in the following questions: utilize how can the cultural heritage in creating modern Saudi currencies that keep pace with the state’s trends in development and development. Moreover, to what extent does cultural identity contribute to enhancing cultural heritage.
The importance of the research lies in emphasizing the heritage identity as part of the identity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as studying heritage arts by analyzing and contemplating and using it with its artistic values in creating design ideas for Saudi currency.
The research also aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of currencies, and then draw inspiration from the modern civilizational and urban heritage in developing proposals to design coins in a way that achieves a bright face for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the axes of Vision 2030.
This research deals with a descriptive and analytical study of modern currency designs - the sixth edition of the Saudi Monetary Agency - because of its heritage and civilization areas, by monitoring monetary designs related to the Kingdom's heritage, identifying its elements, identifying its design elements, and conducting an analytical study to develop innovative design ideas for modern currencies.
