Balance and movement in glass sculpture.

SUMMARY:
Balance and movement are two different terms that converge in their concepts; Balance is accompanied by stillness and stability, movement expresses dynamism. Point and line are one of the basic elements of the formation of the surface and then of the object, the line is the effect of the movement of a point that has a length and a position and has no width and creates for itself energy that appears through the dimension that appears on it, and speed is an important factor for the line’s activity through which its movement is evident in the form of horizontal, vertical or inclined. The line is one of the plastic elements that define the features of the glasswork in terms of masses, volumes, and spaces, and it determines the direction of movement in it. The research problem depends on achieving the glass object by moving a level from the second dimension to move to the third dimension while preserving the balance and stability of glass sculpture, for each work has its own lines that determine the appearance of its shape, its balance, and its values, which determine the special formative method used to form the sculptural work
The objective of the exhibition:
Achieving movement and balance in glass sculpture through various molding methods while preserving the aesthetic values of the work.
Research problem:
- The need for a scientific and technical study to form glass sculpture from glass slides while achieving the values of equilibrium and movement.
Research goal:
- Reaching design and technological determinants to achieve movement and stability in glass sculpture through various molding methods while preserving the aesthetic values of the work.
Research importance:
Enriching the academic and artistic system to open new fields of forming glass sculpture with glass slides that depend on the balance in the formation and movement of the glass sculpture model.
