Abstract:
Art is a social phenomenon that is subject to the conditions of time and space. Religion, with its beliefs, is one of the most important aspects of social life, an influence in the arts, so we find arts attributed to religions such as Islamic art, and was of a special character distinguished by its unity of expression with diversity in styles that do not conflict with that unity. Abstraction and distance from imitation is the character of Islamic art in general and one of its most distinctive characteristics that stem from the principle of monotheism. Abstraction in its simplest terms means summarizing and simplification. It is recognized that great artistic effects meet the criterion of no filler or diminution. Simplicity and reduction appeared in modern artistic trends such as the brutal school which considered that increasing the details is harmful to the artistic work, so their artworks were closely related in terms of abstraction and simplification to Islamic art and in Cubism, but the most prominent manifestations of simplicity appeared in The abstract artistic movement that reshapes nature with a new vision, which is considered one of the most important artistic movements that have a great influence on the architects of modernity, and reached a great extent from a shorthand in what is known as minimalistic art a movement that appeared in the sixties of the twentieth century to include forms A variety of visual arts and design, which can be used in contemporary designs with an Islamic character.
