The role of innovative interactive packaging in developing the commercial packaging design and its impact on product marketing in the Egyptian market.

Abstract

Recently, important and influential modern trends have appeared in packaging related to the requirements of the consumer and society to achieve interaction between the product and the consumer in a deeper and more specific way. The interactive packaging solutions will give the consumer an opportunity to interact and exchange information with products that affects the enhancement and promotion of the mental image of the product and acquiring new customers through its influence on consumer purchasing decisions.
Therefore, this research aims to focus on these new trends in packaging that carry modern techniques which ensure consumer interaction with the package and attract customers' attention towards the product and achieve ease of handling, in an attempt to satisfy the needs of these groups , and to emphasize the role of innovative interactive packaging in developing and improving the mental image of the product and its marketing by finding new interactive design solutions that fit with the commercial packaging used in the Egyptian market. To achieve this goal, the study followed the descriptive analytical approach to conduct a study on some different models of interactive packages that exist in the local and foreign markets to identify the new design standards and the interactive methods used in the design of packages that suit the Egyptian market.
One of the most obvious results of the conducted analysis was that the combination of conventional and modern techniques in the design of product packaging will positively improve the mental image of the product and motivate the purchasing processes, taking into account the importance of Studying consumers' needs and behaviors. As it would greatly help to find the appropriate innovative interactive method for enhancing Interaction with them and achieve their desires without the need to use complex technological methods that increase production costs, and it was clearly a general lack of use of interactive packaging techniques for products in the Egyptian market . So one of the most important recommendations of the research is to pay attention to developing innovative design thinking for interactive packaging in proportion to the kind of product, and taking into account design standards that affect the marketing dimensions of the product in the Egyptian market.
