Abstract

This research presents a study of optical art in terms of its origins , basics and lows that is based on ,how to use that art in designer thinking development and making use of that art theories in different manufacturing fields to find innovative fine solution . the most important of these fields is the field of interior design where the designer faces a lot of architectural problems in modern buildings that require finding suitable solution to provide psychological and functional comfort for people.
Although modern architectural installations cope with the technological development in terms of design, those who live inside them feel un comfortable awing to their interior narrow space. therefore ,the role of the designer in this research is to provide some designs solutions with the framework of making use of optical art theories which handle the problem of narrow space of different architectural installations through the sense of spacing depth and illusive width and execution of these designs as wall hangings using hand tufting technique , since the wall hangings are considered one of the most important elements of interior design that plays its role in the accomplishment of interior architecture.
