Abstract

The study targeted generally studying the psychology of interior design for the working environment and the extent of its impact on the productivity of employees, and to establish design standards to create a working environment that suits the physiological and psychological needs of employees. The study relied on descriptive approach, through the distribution of an exploratory form on a sample of Saudi employees of 155 individuals. The most important result is that there is a relationship between the interior design of the workplace and its psychological impact on the productivity of the employees. And the making of many recommendations, most importantly calling the competent and concerned authorities for paying attention to the application of the necessary design standards that take into account the physiological and psychological needs of employees to become one of the requirements and specifications upon legalization to create a working environment with high quality to raise the productivity of employees
