Aesthetics of Egyptian graphic art as a source of innovation in textile printing design

Abstract

Graphic art is one of the visual arts which was first presented in Egypt with the establishing of a school of Fine arts
in Cairo in the beginning of nineteenth century by pioneering artists influenced by the creative and cultural aspects
in their designs the characteristics of the Egyptian environment and culture through artists skills of drawing on plat
surface directly, that what makes it a rich source for the textile printing designer in the inspiration of innovative design
idea.  Despite the convergence of the areas of graphic art and the design of textile printing in many of the foundations
and common values, but there is a gap in the linkage and mutual benefit between the two fields as a source to achieve
an innovative technical and artistic vision. Hence the problem of research in the question: How to benefit from
the aesthetics of Egyptian graphic art as a source of innovation in the field of designing printed fabrics for women?
The research aims to: analyze and Benefit from the aesthetic of the Egyptian graphic arts as a rich artistic and
technical resource to achieve a range of creative textile designs. The importance of studying is to enrich the visual
and creative experience of the textile printing designer in creating creative designs with different vision.
An analytical and applied approach through artistic analyze of some Egyptian graphic artworks to show
the aesthetic values of it and its  influence by elements of the Egyptian environment, And applied study
by creating textile printing design inspired from experiments of graphic artwork  of the researcher. The artistic
analysis and experiments of the researcher showed that the Egyptian graphic art with its subjects and techniques
can be a rich source of innovation to enrich the artistic value of the designs of textile printing.
