The Development impact of Academic Curricula in teaching Art and Design

Abstract

The Art considered as a manner which nations rise up with. Although after the last political conditions in our country. There was an urgent desire appeared about the development of education and the need to create a teaching contemporary art and design curricula, as a one of the important subjects. The research aims to an analytical study for ancient and modern academic methodologies, as it enables us to have access to the reasons for the development of art and design teaching methodologies In accordance with the age requirements. If we have a look at the evolution of the academic concept and how it has taken different forms in its application through  ages, will find Egypt's first ever world in all arts creativity, and arts education had begun  through workshops by the masters of art in Europe, then lessons had been received through churches. The changes and the great mutation in art occurred as a result of the entry of some sciences like Anatomy, Perspective and Mathematics, this time called the Renaissance. After that it turns to what called academies which were founded in the filled of visual arts, it were institutions which primarily established for the education of artists and providing place as an exhibition for students and artists whom were accepted in the academy . Then Official state-controlled academies have been established under the supervision of the Governor and his entourage, since the late 15th century and its examples: " Royal Academy of Sculpture and Painting 1648", in France and the "Royal Academy of Arts" 1768 in Britain, which a lot of great artists had graduated from then the appearance of many art movements after that tell our time. There are Examples of contemporary academies that have benefited from the academic system like "Angel Academy of Arts" founded in Florence since 1997. It is based on revival of the arts of the Renaissance; it depends on strengthen the skills side for the student and provides superior models in achieving this aims. There is also one of the most successful contemporary curriculum models around the world is the British education methodologies IGCSE specially the art and design subject that qualified for the faculties of arts. It has possibilities to enhance students' creative abilities, self-intellectual and cultural abilities, and one of the systems that has been keeping abreast of the tangible development in the fields of arts and technology.
