Evaluating Egypt mental image at touristic posters and how it fits to support tourism.

Abstract

Tourism is counted as the biggest source of income in Egypt, but today it faces a severe crisis
that threatens all those whose livings are depending on, it is the IMAGE of Egypt in the outside
world that was deliberately deformed especially after current incidents created by terrorism.
It is the role of each member of our society to do what ever he/she can in order to support the
other image of Egypt as a safe and deeply rooted country which cannot be defeated easily by
such incidents, the field of graphic design is more than appropriate for such efforts, a simple
poster embracing such approach can do more than what a big conference can, that poster can
spread the idea over those who are targeted with in airports and tourism agencies all over the
world.
This paper discusses how a simple tourism poster can give much to the case of presenting an
image of Egypt supporting tourism in and outside the country.
