Environmental materials in the Sultanate of Oman as an introduction to the development of contemporary ceramic forms Using the synthesis technique for art education students

Abstract:
Environment is considered as a great resource full of various materials and its multiple relationship, that is always valued through an artist’s eye, on the other hand We find that collage in ceramics is an artistic style that depends on the use of more than one different material to enrich a work of art characterized by unity and innovation.
This research is based on two axes:
The first axis: the theoretical framework, which deals with the presentation and description of some environmental materials in the Sultanate of Oman and some heritage forms that were formed using environmental materials.
The second axis is the practical framework, which is to make use of environmental materials in the Sultanate of Oman to create contemporary ceramic forms using the collage technique through a practical experience that the researcher applies to the students at the University of Nizwa.
In sum, good work retains its quality throughout the ages and increases in value with the passage of time and the influence of natural environmental influences on it. We find synthesis used from antiquity in ancient times, which is the merging or addition of different ores with each other.
Such as grafting on wood and suffixing on copper with silver and combining ores with different natures and different formal appearances that made the artist invent the basis of composition between several different and similar races, which enriches the vision presented through the artwork.

How can the environmental materials in the Sultanate of Oman be an entry point for the creation of contemporary ceramic forms using the collage technique?
