Abstract

Abstract
This article looks at enhancing and empowering the diverse thinking of the art student by developing his/her skills and thinking tools to create new and diverse spaces for his/her thinking by moving from thinking using traditional art tools such as sketches, pencils, erasers and others to thinking using digital tools whose programs offer huge possibilities. It enables the art student to develop his/her one idea into thousands of ideas, such as Photoshop, and at the same time make him keep pace with the culture of the digital age. The researcher believes that active learning is a strategy that makes the learner the focus of the educational process, and moves him/her from a passive recipient of knowledge and skills to a positive active learner. By using this strategy in education, the researcher aims to develop higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation while exploring the possibilities of the Photoshop program and experimenting with filters, its effects and tools to stimulate positive interaction and critical thinking, which qualifies him/her to acquire new and diverse spaces for thinking.
Digital techniques differ in the method of application to a large extent from traditional techniques in plastic art, especially the art of drawing. Each of them has its advantages that a student of art must know in order to engage with the language of the current era, which confirmed the artist's opportunities to experiment freely and innovate through technology techniques imposed by scientific progress in all fields.
