Abstract

Abstract:
Since the beginning of the new millennium, the world has witnessed a major transformation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital technology, as it was able to merge the lines between the physical, digital and biological fields, as it is a hybrid of the digital revolution, new materials and biotechnology. The Fourth Industrial Revolution was characterized by the breakthrough of emerging technology, which included modern materials science and nanotechnology, and that nascent revolution witnessed innovative applications of quantum computing, the Internet of things, and 3D printing, which profoundly changed lifestyles and forms, as well as the global trend towards the exploitation of modern technology. To achieve the principle of economic and environmental sustainability, and it has become a global concern, to achieve economic and environmental balance in the field of industry.
Therefore, it was necessary for those transformations to have a major role in the industry that serves humanity, and meets the basic needs, and from here the topic of research came to study the role of modern technology represented in 3D printing technology and its role in achieving sustainability by producing contemporary quantitative furniture as an alternative to traditional furniture.
Research problem :
1- The difficulty of achieving a balance between the global trend to reduce and provide natural raw materials for future generations and finding industrial alternatives that are competitive and superior to them in light of the shortage of natural raw materials and the increase in their prices in order to achieve the principle of sustainability.
2- How to find alternatives suitable for mass production in light of modern design ideas that tend to be complicated and difficult to produce with natural alternatives.
research importance :
1- Producing furniture with designs that are difficult to implement using natural materials, as well as the global trend to reduce the exploitation of natural materials and provide them for future generations in order to achieve the concept of sustainability.
2- Ease of quantitative production with this technique.
3- Saving time and cost in the manufacturing and production process.
4- Controlling the final shape of the product so that it looks like a product made with natural raw materials, and even has the advantage of being lighter in weight and lower in price.
Key words:
(Digital technology - the fourth industrial revolution - 3D printing technology - Economic Sustainability - Environmental Sustainability - quantitative production).
