"Aesthetic Values of Modern Buildings Design with Islamic Features in Sharjah”

Abstract

Sharjah is rich with modern public and government facilities of an Islamic nature, such as the central market , Jubail Market, Islamic Garden, New Building for Sharjah Municipality, Al-Nour Mosque, Al-Maghfra Mosque, Islamic Museum ,The Qur'an complex was evident as a result of a visit to the UAE that included a period tour of Sharjah. These installations have been influenced by the huge legacy of Islamic architecture, decorated with architectural and decorative elements that reflect the accuracy of the design, the ingenuity and quality of implementation. The problem of research lies in clarifying the aesthetic values that characterize public and government facilities in Sharjah, which bear the characteristics of the Islamic style. The research aims to describe and analyze architectural and decorative elements, materials and industrial methods, which have added to sharjah's facilities some of the aesthetic values that characterize them. From the research duties:there are some architectural elements, decorative formation elements, materials and industrial methods that give these establishments in Sharjah some of the aesthetic values that distinguish them. The importance of the research is due to highlighting the most important aesthetic values that characterize these installations, which are full of architectural and decorative elements, materials and industrial methods, which are a rich reference for the designers of architecture and interior design.The research reviewed a presentation of the design philosophy of some of the establishments in Sharjah and then displayed some architectural and decorative elements then presented a conclusion of some of the diverse materials and methods and techniques of the industry used and a range of aesthetic, functional and symbolic values were reached. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach and from the results of the research the conclusion of some architectural elements and decorative units implemented by materials and industry methods in the design of modern facilities in Sharjah and the development of a distinctive set of aesthetic values. The most important recommendations of the research are the need to study and analyze modern facilities of an Islamic nature in the modern Emirate of Sharjah, which lends its designs aesthetic values, which is a rich reference for architects and interior design.
