Abstract

Summary :
Social media is one of the important promotional means that work on the development of the tourism sector, and it is a psychological tool that provides services in a smart and convincing manner. It has promoted and achieved a rapid increase in the presentation of images and offers in a more exciting and effective way, and because the users of social media are all segments of society, which makes advertising one of the most important and successful methods of marketing. In light of the information revolution and technological development that swept the world, tourism is no longer a recreational activity and a means of entertainment, but rather has become an existing industry with its goals and dimensions in the economy in many countries of the world and a tool for culture in advanced societies, so countries seek to encourage tourism through social media because it has credibility and a means Effective promotion, and in this research, I will examine and analyze the role of social media in promoting tourism, and “Facebook, Tik Tok and Instagram” were chosen as they are modern applications that occupied high positions in the number of users because of their importance and influence over individuals and societies, and for their wide use in the virtual world through the exchange of Information and knowledge and its great impact on tourism promotion.
