Arab cities are abundant with the architectural and urban heritage, which are the cultural mirror of the city and the identity of its inhabitants throughout the ages. Undoubtedly, one way of reviving and valuing this architectural and urban heritage is to learn about the use of heritage buildings in the past and present, and how to re-employ them to benefit from them in the future, which constitutes the preservation of the nation's history, identity and legacy.

Views of the problem in the lack of optimal exploitation and how to take advantage of the architectural and urban heritage of the old Omderman region through the re-employment of heritage buildings.

The study therefore aims to learn about the use of heritage buildings in the old Omderman area, and thus the optimal re-employment in order to revive and value the architectural and urban heritage of the old Omderman area for future use.

Through previous studies and field visits, a range of conclusions have been found in the use and reassignment of heritage buildings.

The study was then divided into four main themes:

First: The theoretical framework of the study on the introduction, definitions, importance, objectives of the study, the present problem and the methodology used in the study.

Axis II: A theoretical study using the analytical descriptive curriculum by addressing previous studies, and the results of the theoretical study.

Axis III: A historical study to learn the origins of the city of Omderman with the selection of a blend of architectural heritage and the determination of the limits of the temporal and spatial study. collecting information and images for selected models and knowing the past and present use of heritage buildings in the ancient Omderman region.

Axis IV: Access to the results of the study and find out how to optimize the re-employment of heritage buildings and take advantage of the architectural and urban heritage of the old Omderman region for revival and valuation.

The study concluded that recommendations would contribute to the optimal re-employment and future utilization of the Omderman region's architectural and urban heritage.
