Color in Islamic Architecture and its impact on interior design

Abstract

Color is one of the most important ways that affect the reaction of people towards their vision of the environment surrounding them and a means to control the signal and express themselves and achieve their desires and prove their distinctiveness and their customs and traditions.
color becomes the tool which  used in all countries of the world to distinguish the buildings and the expression of each element of its members and listed components and decoding symbols and connect them to each other and this was confirmed by an architectural modernism like Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, Oscar Neymar, as also confirmed by an architectural  postmodern like Michael Graves, Robert Stern, Carlosla  laoz, Paulo Portogasa and others rediscovering colors in a new way in buildings and thus enter the color  as a key element in contemporary architecture, affecting in the field of interior design.
The way the Interior design  dealing with the colors on the psychological effects and the dimensions addressed in the domestic blank, as it serves as a tool in the hands of the interior designer to serve the function type and activity specific for each interstitial content, and then is the color of the most influential elements in the interior design as the understanding of the characteristics and effects color is important in any design, with some uses of color in interior design without a scientific study of the colors and the foundations of use or knowledge of their implications, and impacts of psychological, physiological and functional in the internal vacuum different effects on the level of user activity.
With so many negative experiences that do not live up to general taste direction and promotion to see the beauty-conscious, and that is not fulfilling its role and function and the impact of psychological required, it has to be from the definition color, concept, theories, the most important connotations and its symbols, as well as the study of the scientific basis for the use of color and its impact functional ,aesthetic and psychological in the inner emptiness of architecture components , a reflection of all that on man, and the vitality and the level of individual or collective activity.
The different civilizations are  source of richness of color especially  Islamic civilization, which  based on imagination and perception, has found the colors position that haunted the Arab Muslim artist , inspired by the images of beauty ,it  was perceived by  embodied it in the fields of architecture represented in the frescoes in the decorated inlaid with mosaics and various arts of drawing line and decoration and earthenware , hence the colors in the artistic creativity of the Arab Muslim artist Perceived and represented his people painted colors and lines, becoming images of vibrant color.
The aim of the study of color in Islamic architecture, not to revive the historical memory and to talk about the past and its achievements, but also searched for future formula for the effect of color based on the update, with the benefit of these future formula in the field of interior design and applied to keep pace with the requirements of the times and check the physiological and psychological balance within Interior spaces of different activities.
