Abstract

During the modernity and development of teaching strategies to keep the technology, innovations and the challenges imposed by the current global conditions, the methods of teaching in the field of product design have developed and diversified, and students have become more

aspirational, visionary, and accommodating of this development and its dimensions, and more desire to reach their goals in more creative and enjoyable ways.

Therefore, the researcher review one of the methods of teaching design through the ten-minute tasks and the methodology of its use during the application of the stages of the design process and review examples of its application, because of its results in students’ understanding and practice of it in an interesting way .

The aim of research is enriching design learning methods in a more enjoyable way which is fastest assimilation and stimulation of creativity among design students.

Search problem:

Industrial design students go through many challenges during the study of the stages of the design process, most notably the length of the study period for each stage of the design, in order to embrace the stage and saturate it to get out of it with the maximum possible benefit, which sometimes loses them the passion or enjoyment of the stage or their desire to reach the main goal of it, which is Innovating or developing a new product, due to the nature of the pace of life and the technological acceleration and the desire it gave students to perform tasks in a different, fast, interesting and constructive way that helps them reach their goals faster through a simple and enjoyable experience through which tasks that seem to them more complex are simplified.

Research Objective:

Applying the method of short-term tasks as one of the teaching methods for the student of industrial design, to make the study of design practice for the student during the lecture more interesting and fun by practicing the experience of applying the stages of the design process during the lecture time in a simple, fun and interesting way and through an individual and group experience using the available capabilities and tools in a specific time.
