Abstract

Abstract

With the great development in the construction of new cities with distinctive buildings inside and outside Egypt, such as luxury residential facilities (palaces and villas), huge houses of worship (mosques and churches), large administrative buildings, and tourist facilities (hotels- -and tourist resorts), the need for lighting units has increased. Which bears special qualities related to the styles of these architectural facilities whose exterior and interior architecture is luxury characterized ,as the lighting units used in the architectural space of large and public buildings represents one of the most important factors for the success of the functional and aesthetic performance of the space, thus its very important to find a methodology for managing the projects of producing this type of lighting unites that based on a set of design and technological considerations that will enhance the functional, aesthetic and environmental requirements, according to each type of such facilities.

And whereas the well-known project management steps serve the requirements of typical products with mass production, which emphasized the need to find a methodology that achieves effective management of lighting projects with special specifications as a unique product and not a quantitative product.

The problem:

The lack of a scientific methodology for managing lighting projects for facilities of a special character.

The Research Aim:

Reaching a methodology for managing projects of designing lighting units of a special character.

The Importance:

The research contributes to the development of a methodology for managing lighting projects for facilities of a special nature, and opening the way for finding new systems for it.
