Abstract

Technological development is an element of the learning process, and with the advent of the Corona pandemic and the connection of Internet networks to human life daily, and forcing people to resort to remote communication, technology has become an essential element in the distance learning process, and because of this change, many means have appeared that contribute Enriching the distance learning process, whether the learning is synchronous or asynchronous.

As a result, the educational process has developed, from the focus on the teacher being the focus of the educational process, the focus has shifted to the learner being the focus of the educational process, and from here appeared many means that enable the learner to obtain knowledge without an actual presence in the classroom, or direct interaction with the teacher, Among these means are multimedia, which has its characteristics to reduce the cognitive burden of the learner, and many cognitive theories have emerged that will organize the learning process based on multimedia, such as the cognitive theory of learning from multimedia, which is based on the theory of double coding And the principles of working memory for the learner.

The animated educational contents as part of the multimedia system are one of the means used to communicate the cognitive aspects of the educational contents. It contains in some of its mixed formations the animated visual content that varies between animations and kinetic texts, as well as the audio content that varies between structured linguistic dialogue and effects. Hence, the research problem appears in highlighting the cognitive and aesthetic role that animated graphic designs contribute as a tool for enriching animated educational contents in the asynchronous distance learning process, and how effective it is in reducing the learner's cognitive burden.

Key words: Distance learning - e-learning - asynchronous learning - Motion graphics - multimedia – Interactive video – Interactive Application.
