Abstract

Civilized nations no longer look at their heritage of traditional handicrafts as inferior to fine arts, as they are public arts related for utilitarian purposes that do not rise to the museum’s aesthetic values, I realized that this heritage represents the collective creativity of peoples and the function of their cultural identity,including the values of beliefs,customs,traditions,morals and human meanings,Therefore, preserving it is preserving identity,especially in recent years in light of the spread of technology and the use of machines in many fields, which led to the extinction and scarcity of many popular handicrafts One of the most important of these crafts expressing the Egyptian environment is the Khayamiya craft, which is considered one of the first handicrafts, It's known as the color fabric industry That the craft that deals with cloth of all kinds and colors, It's the art of decoration on the canvas, In the past, Khayamiyas were associated with kaaba cladding decorated with gold and silver threads which Egypt used to make until the 1960s and send it to the hijaz in a majestic procession known as the loader, practiced by man, starting from the ancient Egyptian through the Greek and Byzantine eras, but it flourished during the Mamluk era, Khayamiya relies on inscriptions and decorations that are abstract vocabulary from the sediments of different civilizations that humanity has passed through It is thus a mirror of the legacy of human civilization and a reflection of different civilizations and eras, This study examines how to benefit from this original Egyptian craft with various decorations Through the technical-analytical study of its fine elements Using a creative innovative design system to achieve creative solutions with aesthetics and visual values bring pleasure to the eye and stimulate the mind for the development of print designs and the use of apiece of fabrics for ladies using the computer.
