Abstract

Ceramics is the art in which plastic arts, chemical sciences and applied physics meet. It is one of the oldest stereoscopic arts that accompanied man long time ago. It invested the idea of double aesthetic vision between the fields of ceramics and sculpture to produce aesthetic values based on creativity and transformation, which characterized many previous civilizations, especially the ancient Egyptian civilization

The philosophy of transformation opened the horizons for the transformation of ceramic art from the pot to the space of formation through new ideas and visions, through which the artist created contemporary ceramic works with a philosophical, expressive and aesthetic dimension. Therefore, the search for the essence of beauty has become in the duality of form, with the elements of ceramic art, and the elements of sculpture, opacity and juxtaposition between them to elicit and blend the aesthetic values of the double vision of the sculptural ceramic form to achieve visual pleasure.

The researcher believes that ceramics has become a means of expression without belonging to one field. Thus, it paves the way for the dual vision of the presented ceramic works. Finally, the research problem arises in answering the following question: how to take advantage of the duality of artistic vision with the aesthetics of ceramic art and the aesthetics of sculpture art through the philosophy of transformation as an approach to the creative thinking of the artist And the recipient

Research Objectives:

1. Revealing the concept of double vision for sculptural ceramic works

2. Shedding light on the impact of the philosophy of transformation on the ceramic forms of the researcher

The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach as a research method to identify the characteristics and features of sculptural ceramic works through three main axes.

The first axis: the aesthetic duality between the art of ceramics and the art of sculpture

The second axis: the philosophy of formal transformation in terms of technology and the structure of the form

The third axis: analyzing the researcher’s works in terms of the dual aesthetic vision of the ceramic form, the philosophy of transformation through technology and the structure of the form, which was presented in the exhibition (I and My Dreams) held at the Faculty of Art Education in Zamalek - Hall of Martyr Ahmed Bassiouni - Helwan University during the period From 27 March: 3 April 2022 AD
