Abstract

The Islamic world, by virtue of its belonging to the group of developing countries, is facing major challenges that are closely related to the reconciliation of the environment and sustainable development.

Perhaps the studies conducted to diagnose the environmental performance of the building in the Middle East have developed an assessment framework that should be based on on-site performance research, knowledge building and technical, and should also suit the local context of each country in the Middle East depending on its culture and issues, so it is necessary to design its own local indicators and criteria by identifying the social part of sustainability that includes traditions, culture and environmental standards.

Through an analytical study of three residential environmental models (Islamic, contemporary Islamic and contemporary global), more weight was placed on the most important categories within Islamic thought to ensure a contemporary environmental design future for Islamic thought to reconcile the environment and development.

The research problem is that the use of economically costly technologically motivated methods without a purposeful awareness of environmental measurement patterns and methods, a violation of the principles of the internal environment of the dwelling subject of the current study occurs.

The study aims to prove that the Islamic internal environment is the source and basis of the proportions of Environmental Design, and to develop a modern strategic approach to measuring the environmental compatibility of the Islamic dwelling has more weight on the most important categories.of the Islamic dwelling has more weight on the most important categories
