Abstract

Abstract:

Within the current expansions of the labor market in the field of interior design, and with the recognition of the existence of the necessary legislation to protect intellectual property rights, the mere recognition of these rights is not sufficient to enforce them and protect the rights of interior architecture designers. importance, and the second is the judicial application of those rights in a way that guarantees their effectiveness and achieves their goal, meaning that the problem is not in the absence of a legal text, but rather in the implementation and application of those laws and societal recognition of them, which limits violations and provides a stimulating environment for creativity.

Accordingly, this research paper aims to consider intellectual property rights for interior architecture designs and maximize their utilization, based on the hypothesis that activating the protection of those rights enhances creativity, and that awareness of those rights and adherence to them is as important as enacting laws to protect them.

In order to achieve the objectives of this paper, it was divided into five main axes: the first presents a definition of the concept of intellectual property rights, and the legislative development of those systems in Egypt, and the second presents a measurement of the extent of societal awareness of these concepts, and the third sheds light on intellectual property violations of digital works of interior architecture designs, and then discusses The fourth is the importance of activating these rights in developing designers’ thinking and creativity. Finally, the fifth axis deals with providing recommendations to interior architecture designers on how to protect their moral rights and copyrights to limit the unauthorized use of their work.

The paper concluded with several points, the most important of which is that the culture of intellectual property rights for interior architecture designs is not circulated, especially in the community of designers and scholars themselves, which had a clear impact on wasting their rights, and that the conscious and fair application of those rights would contribute to strengthening the competitive environment that stimulates creativity.
