Abstract

printmaking is one of the branches of fine art, which has ancient history and has many techniques and many details and procedural steps that have recently been divided into several branches, including the traditional and innovative methods .

And each section of the division contains many techniques. And the pictorial methods in the printmaking had two sides, a traditional side and another developed in the modern era. And that the techniques developed in printmaking are techniques based on the idea of continuous experimentation, whether in terms of raw materials used or in terms of methods and methods of implementation, and on the other hand, compatibility with the environment and not harming it, hence the term non-toxic artistic printing methods appeared.

The same relationship between the brightness of the idea and the executive means, and between the directives of the mind and the answers of the hand, is the relationship that subjects the artist’s work to the raw materials, tools, and machines that he chooses, or that he chooses or that are imposed on him by the data of the existing civilized conditions, and no matter how flexible the tool is in the hand. It imposes its conditions on the work that the artist intends to achieve.

And with the great development and creativity in the field of printmaking, whether in the early stages of preparing the design, the printing surface itself, or the printing stage, whether in printing techniques and methods, or in terms of newly created materials and surfaces.
