Abstract

The research discusses the possibility of using the idea and system of reuse, which is intended to re-employ and use the remnants of works, items of interior architecture, and other materials; Such as waste of ceramics, marble, glass, drainage pipes, paints, metals, wallpaper, car tires, barrels, wood ... etc., in order to search for contemporary economic design ideas through the concepts of minimalism as a direction and thought aimed at simplification and economy in what can be developed and applied, to reduce consumption. Where the research touched on the direction of the Bauhaus school, which had a global style that relied on simplification and a relatively wide space in the designs This trend has been associated with the phrase "less is more", and it is intended to maintain a reduction and distance from exaggeration and luxury in design with a lifestyle that relies heavily on economy, saving, focusing on important things, a return to simplicity, and getting rid of everything that is not necessary.

The research concluded that the process of reuse contributes to preserving the environment through re-employment of waste and its inclusion in innovative designs in the process of interior design and landscape. To achieve a sustainable design, this concept can include existing furniture and old pieces for better reuse. In other words, it is a process through which invalid materials that are considered waste are taken advantage of and incorporated as elements of the design determinants of the interior spaces as well as elements of furnishing Then the process of reuse became an urgent necessity and an economic solution to the problem of high prices, depletion of resources and the increase in the amount of waste, which requires with it the search for alternatives and practical and innovative solutions. The researcher made an inventory of some raw materials and waste resulting from the interior architecture and finishes of a residential villa through some proposed designs for reuse.
