Abstract

The East has always represented for Western artists a world of magic and a rich experience full of mystery. The magic of oriental details remained a challenge for the Orientalists, who came motivated by the desire to explore and present works of art with different visions and a point of view that carried the spirit of the East through the eyes of the West, which is the period of cultural openness by drawing paintings.

And since art is one of the tools of documentation and dating of a particular place and certain circumstances, therefore the art of Orientalism is considered one of the most important historical evidence that has a great impact on art, as the Orientalists monitored in their various paintings all the details of life, traditions, rituals, clothes, architectural styles, and vocabulary heritage, considering that the painting is An accurate and expressive document that serves as the picture or report that conveys the East to the minds of the West .

Sustainability is one of the widespread terms, both applied and philosophical, and aims to ensure continuity. It is related to different fields, where a person deals in his daily life with a series of formations, either aesthetic that simulates his sense and taste, or utilitarian that leads him to a specific function, The importance of research in establishing the concept of sustainability by integrating the aesthetic and functional values of the drawings of the art of orientalism to find design solutions for the movable Wall Hanging Fabrics.
