Abstract

The concept of transparency has evolved for several variables, the most important of which is the development and change of the artistic vision that depends on realizing the variables of the foundations of sculptural structural design and formation, which are no longer associated with the mass only, but exceeded it until it included space of all kinds and its relationships that penetrate the mass in itself, in addition to the lighting that enriched the art of sculpture and what it bears. Symbolic and sensory connotations, by integrating the concepts of scientific theory to analyze light and its effect on various surfaces, whether this light is natural or artificial, especially in the case of transparent media. The research reviews the scientists who contributed to the enrichment of scientific values based on achieving the element of transparency.

Acrylic polymers

Acrylic combines thermoplastic and heat-stable plastics. It includes homogeneous polymers and modified copolymers. Most of these plastics are characterized by complete purity, such as crystal glass, with a smooth surface, density, and modified hardness. Acrylic is characterized by surface purity that makes it highly transmittable, as it is equal to the purity of glass and the white light pass rate is 92%. It also resists various weather factors for a long time without changing color.

Results

1- The aesthetic values achieved by the transparency feature in the works of sculpture display rich visual stimuli that elevate the concept of design values in the works of transparent sculpture.

2- Transparent plastics display various design and implementation capabilities and advantages.

3- Diversity of cases of different treatments of transparent ores for the outer surfaces and the inner space alike.

4- The element of light achieves aesthetic values that enrich the creativity of the element of transparency.

Recommendations

1- The necessity of researching the data of the theories of movement of the transparent sculptural blocks by studying the theories of movement in general and selecting the one that can be implemented on the figures of the transparent floating sculpture.

2- Studying the various stresses that occur to the surface of the transparent sculptural model due to the surrounding environment, and how to make structural analyzes of these stresses using computer programs.

3- Expanding the study of the vocabulary of transparent sculptural design by rephrasing the plastic vocabulary in light of the modern and contemporary concept of the thought of transparent media.
