Abstract

The research contains an artistic vision in the field of painting that aims to renew the usual topics in plastic art and presents an experience in drawing the balcony fence of her house, which was the only available and safe haven for the researcher during the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic. Through it, she tries to delve deeper into the aesthetics of that fence and reach plastic relationships that create interdependence and harmony between its parts, which seem to be limited, but the artist's imagination swims in reality trying to find these visible relationships creates other invisible ones. To ensure the obvious truth; the plastic artist, even if he lived periods of solitude only inside his house, will find what excites his imagination in anything around him, even if it is one side of the same wall that holds him.

During this, the researcher presented an attempt to renew the used and usual technique of coloring with an acrylic material and to exploit the capabilities of this material to reach a new form that distinguishes the paintings executed with it. This is because acrylic colors are relatively new and have the flexibility and many advantages that make them suitable for experimentation and innovation, and it is easier for the artist to deal with them freely and use them with various techniques.

The researcher presented this practical experience in the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek on 12/12/2021 under the title " a side of the Fence ".

The exhibition dealt with the issue of the house balcony fence from the plastic and moral side as well, and all the paintings displayed were executed with acrylic on surfaces of canvas and wood.

The research also aims at the need to expand the pictorial and plastic vision of the artist, by opening the field of experimentation as one of the important entrances to finding plastic solutions based on benefiting from contemporary innovations such as new raw materials, digital and applied programs for the computer, to represent the start towards building contemporary pictorial paintings.
