Abstract

The study deals with the concept of cognitive integration as a systematic intellectual issue associated with intellectual activity, research practice and methods of dealing with ideas, and their applied implications in developing the creative skills of the cartoon character designer. The study seeks to show the need to link the different studying topics, which are presented to students in a coherent and integrated form, and organize a precise organization, which contributes to overcoming barriers between the different subjects, and presenting the content to be taught and processed in a way that integrates knowledge.

The research is based on the approach of reviving cultural heritage as an educational, scientific, artistic, cultural and social source. We should also not lose sight of the fact that cultural heritage is one of the components of the cultural identity that distinguishes the nation among different cultures and civilizations. This necessitates the need to take into account dealing with the past and absorbing its values as facts that carry the fertility of human culture over time.

The study emphasizes the importance of artistic perception and ways to develop the cognitive abilities of art students, especially when teaching cartoon character design. Contemplation of the different natural compositions and cultural heritage ignites the artist's artistic skills, making them open up to new solutions and perceptions. Therefore, the person who has reached a high degree of awareness of aesthetic values in his surroundings and relationships is that artist who is able to produce innovative works characterized by structural and expressive skill.
