, There was a division in the field of ceramics between supporters and opponents of these trends, but it eventually imposed itself on the plastic movement, and there was a difference between the industrial ceramic product and the art of ceramics, so the potters left the realm of utilitarianism to the realm of expression, And there has become what is called expressive ceramics , It is formally similar to sculpture in terms of construction and expressive content, which led to a confusion between it and the art of sculpture, as they are similar in their components, especially ceramic sculpture, The Research Problem, Which revolves around the existence of a confusion between the formal body of contemporary ceramic art and the art of sculpture, due to the formal similarity between the two disciplines, due to the formal metaphor between the two disciplines, due to the formal similarity between the two disciplines, This research is an attempt to answer the most important Research Questions in what are the criteria that distinguish the art of sculpture from ceramic sculpture? What is the role of formal similarity between sculpture and ceramics in enriching the contemporary Egyptian plastic movement? , To come the Objectives of the Research In monitoring the concept of formal similarity between sculpture and pottery and its role in the development of building ceramic formation and the resulting contemporary plastic practices., the Importance of the Research Identifying and clarifying the points of formal similarity between the field of ceramic sculpture and the art of sculpture, which led to the enrichment of the contemporary plastic movement with ceramic works of contemporary vision. The Research follows the Descriptive Analytical Method Descriptive analytical as a means to identify the most important points of similarity in the form between the art of ceramics and the art of sculpture, This is done through three axes, which are (the form in the artwork - Ceramic sculpture and its formal similarity with the art of sculpture - The role of contemporary ceramic sculpture in enriching the Egyptian plastic movement) (And that is within the time Limits of the Research, which are 2022 and the spatial limits in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the research ends with the Results and Recommendations.
