Abstract

summary

The study of coffins is one of the important archaeological and historical documents that provide us with information that sheds light on various aspects in the history of a country in which these coffins were found, and also provides us with the names of famous men, which may benefit their inclusion in verifying their authenticity and genealogical chain, and as they are neutral and contemporary to the events that record them, in addition to that It performs aids for archaeological and cultural studies, through which it is possible to trace an element of the development of Arabic calligraphy. The subject of this research includes the study of three wooden coffins dating back to the twelfth century AH, the first concerning Imam al-Mutawakkil Allah - all-Qasim bin al-Hussein, who died in 1139 AH, and the second belongs to al-Mansur Billah al-Husayn ibn al-Qasim (his son). ) who died in 1161 AH and the third belongs to Mahdi Abbas Ibn Al-Mansur Billah Al-Hussein Ibn Al-Qasim, who died in 1189 AH (grandson)
