Abstract

The research aims to explore the effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools in designing interactive application icons and compare these tools to reach the best ones and ensure that they conform to the standards and characteristics of designing application icons based on the theoretical study. The study followed the descriptive and comparative approach, and experiments were carried out in order to understand the applicability of artificial intelligence tools in the field of designing interactive application icons. The study found that there are differences between the artificial intelligence tools used in generating images of icons for interactive applications in achieving the standards and characteristics of designing these icons. The study showed that the Midjourney tool excelled in generating images that met the specified criteria and characteristics. The research sample confirmed that 93,3% affirm the effectiveness of AI tools in designing icons for interactive applications, Moreover, the generated images can be considered as a starting point for a new design. The study also demonstrated the effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools in designing interactive application icons in general. Future studies should conduct more in-depth studies on the effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools in the field of Vectors design, such as designing icons and logos, as Vector design is considered the most challenging due to adherence to the necessary standards, characteristics and considerations during the design process. The scarcity of studies related to interactive application icon generation using artificial intelligence tools makes this study a distinctive contribution that was not discovered and discussed in previous studies in the field of interactive application icons design.
