Abstract

The world is facing a challenge in creating a balance between sustainable development and preserving the environment, which has called for increased interest recently from many countries of the world in the issue of renewable energies as it represents one of the most important main sources of global energy as it is clean and non-polluting energy, which gives it great importance in Achieving sustainable development, in light of the growing negative effects on fossil energy, especially on the environment and on the human dimensions of development on the one hand, and in light of the threats of its depletion on the other hand. Considering the growing negative effects on fossil energy, especially on the environment and on the human dimensions of development on the one hand and considering the threats of its depletion on the other hand, the importance of moving towards renewable energy as a strategic alternative to achieving the dimensions of sustainable development is highlighted as a renewable and environmentally friendly energy. And art in general and the art of sculpture in particular must face the repercussions of the times, so the research concerns the necessity of keeping pace with the art of sculpture with the innovations of technology.

The researcher presents the nature of renewable energy, its most important sources and advantages, and the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainable development by presenting the concept of sustainable development and its basic dimensions, and the impact of renewable energy sources on it. The researcher also deals with the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainable development for art in general and sculpture in general. Special, and the research problem lies in what is the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainable development of contemporary sculpture art, and the researcher uses the descriptive analytical approach, and the researcher presents the results:

1- The sustainable development of contemporary sculpture can be achieved from renewable energy sources.

2- Contemporary sculpture achieves aesthetic and functional value by using renewable energy sources.

3 - Contemporary sculptor greatly in the preservation of funding resources and sustainable development.
