Abstract

The popular painting is the artistic production in form and expression that is practiced by the group of the people emanating from its conscience and stemming from itself and its inherited traditions.

It is natural that popular painting is the result of the precipitation of previous civilizations with their values and beliefs that interacted with the simplicity of the popular person to produce art that is one of its most prominent features of originality. Art that emerges through a gentlemanly love of simplicity and simple life)

Folk art is an art that is inherent to, parallel to, and linked to the arts of civilizations. This art continued to preserve its traditions, as it formed a personality dominated by the manifestations of the Islamic and Arab character.

The belief has been prevalent for a long time that folk arts are not arts worthy of consideration and that they do not amount to creative works of art, especially since folk arts are practiced and created by simple people who are limited in the shadows. The positives presented by the expressive school are its interest in innate art, children's arts, as well as folk arts.

The inspiration of the contemporary Egyptian painter for elements of popular paintings gives his work the characteristics of originality, but the artist must have a degree of conscious culture in order for folk art to be able, as it is not only spontaneous art, but it is an emerging art as a result of cultural inheritance or cultural communication, subject to culture and education, and so the contradiction between Folk arts and academic arts, but folk arts did not remain for several codified rules for the creativity process, and the artist who is inspired by popular paintings must have a sufficient understanding and sense of the aesthetics of the original work before he begins to draw inspiration from it because his lack of sufficient understanding of the aesthetics of the original work may result in distortion no add.

The research deals with several steps of explaining and clarifying some of the works of contemporary painting artists, by dealing with contemporary plastic treatments and solutions to deal with folk art in their works and their influence on the special features of folk art.
