Abstract

In light of the economic challenges facing the world, which are reflected in the field of industry, including energy crises and the scarcity of raw materials, which led to the emergence of raw materials that are suitable for the need to save energy and the cost of products. In the field of lighting units, which is one of the products that the individual deals with in his daily life and one of the oldest raw materials in lighting units ( the glass). It is known that the glass industry is one of the huge and energy-consuming industries, and the role of the designer is to work on developing the design of lighting glass to suit This trend can, through design development, reach designs that have the ability to compete through some competitive advantages that make the product more flexible to suit the largest number of consumers. The purpose of the research is to develop the lighting glass design through a course to reach flexible designs to suit different units and the largest number of consumers.Among the most important results is the achievement of distinctive designs that combine the simplicity of the unit with the richness of the product, the development of creative thinking among students to come up with ideas that are flexible in assembling and installing units. Conclusion: Through the development of the design, it is possible to reach a solid material that is difficult to form into units that enjoy easy formation and change to suit different media. Recommendations: Continue to develop design sciences to overcome the obstacles and challenges that constantly arise in societies.
