Abstract

With the technological development in recent years in the software production, computers, components and accessories, the interdependence between structural design sciences, structural engineering, software and digital applications has increased to remove from them broad horizons and overcome difficulties. Its scientific, computational and practical methods have evolved and moved to more sophisticated stages that shorten time and give solutions characterized by accuracy and multiplicity in the Digital analysis and design processes of metal construction. This led to the emergence of digital structural analysis and design programs, which are considered a revolution in the development of methods of studying and constructions analysis, which are based on the principles of statics and resistance to materials and constructions. The importance of these applications stems from the analysis and structural design of moving metal structures, especially in the digital analysis of critical points, which are the most vulnerable points to collapse in the structure if they are not designed according to precise structural standards. The research problem stems from the need to take advantage of computer applications related to digital analysis and structural design in the analysis of critical points in metal movable awnings structures, and therefore this research aims to monitor the mechanisms of benefiting from the digital analysis of critical points and their impact on the formal and structural design of metal movable awnings structures. The research follows the descriptive approach, and the research concluded that the employment of the criteria for digital analysis and the use of computer applications in the design of critical points will lead to judgment whether digitally designed links will lead to the desired behavior as the accumulated knowledge based on field tests, digital modeling and practical experience can lead to an integrated vision of this process.
