Abstract

The research aims to aesthetically analyze the wall designs of the walls of the College of Engineering - Ain Shams University. It also aims to achieve the ergonomics of the design through the wall design and its connection to the surrounding environment, and to reach new plastic solutions and formulations in the wall design through the materials, techniques and methods used to express symbols. Forms and elements expressing the disciplines of the Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University. The research follows the analytical approach in the theoretical framework, which included the integration between the art of mural design and architecture, the factors affecting the mural design. The research follows the semi-experimental approach in designing and implementing a set of wall designs using the graffiti method and the mechanical engraving method on the Hashemite Stone. Aesthetic relationships were created between the symbols, shapes and elements used in the wall design in a contemporary symbolic expressionist style. The molding and expression were made with appropriate materials for the wall design, in keeping with the visions of thought and modern developments. The ergonomics of the wall designs was achieved with its aesthetic values, clarity of theme, ease of artistic taste and reception by the viewer in a way that provides psychological comfort The recommendations came to search for the possibility of finding innovative solutions and visions to achieve the aesthetic and plastic dimensions by investing in external murals and employing them as an aesthetic and communicative means to strengthen the interdependence between man and his environment.
