Abstract

Within the importance of cultural heritage in our lives, especially cinematic artistic heritage, as it is priceless and a valuable source of knowledge because of its role in highlighting the cultural, social, and linguistic diversity of our societies and in commemoration of different civilizations. The issue of preserving, and reviving it, not being subject to neglect, protecting it from extinction and ensuring its availability to the public and future generations. In a modern digital way that keeps pace with modern technologies and ensures its sustainability. The cinematic artistic cultural heritage, including sound recordings and visual motion pictures, is often exposed to great danger as a result of several factors, including neglect, natural decay, and technological obsolescence, as well as destruction resulting from misuse and the environmental conditions in which they are preserved. This research aims to raise public awareness of the necessity of preserving the popular and cultural heritage of important audiovisual materials and preserving them for future generations and recognizing the importance of cinematic documentary heritage as an integral part of national identities and a window through which we look into the past to formulate contemporary stories.In this context, we used the descriptive analytical approach in order to reach vital evidence for documenting the audiovisual artistic memory and managing the cinematic documentary heritage through a set of technical, normative and legislative factors that guarantee its sustainability and protection from extinction and provide those concerned with how to follow the necessary instructions and apply new methods for preserving this heritage.
