Abstract

This study aims to reveal the artistic values of nano art to enrich the field of contemporary painting, and to shed light on the characteristics of this art and its artistic and creative possibilities to develop innovative contemporary artistic approaches that enrich art in general and painting in particular.

microscopic formations to produce paintings characterized by the features of nano art and to achieve the artistic and aesthetic values in Contemporary painting, Taking advantage of experimental approaches such as destruction, composition, and abstraction with deletion and addition. The research hypothesis was that drawing inspiration from nano-art in creating innovative contemporary pictorial paintings could contribute to enrich the field of painting.

The study summarize the beginning of the discovery of nanotechnology and its emergence after the discovery of specialized microscopes, features and characteristics of the nanoscale, which contributed to the emergence of nanoart, and the analysis of some artistic works representing the artistic thoughts of this art, investing aesthetic and plastic data in dealing with the form, material, and artistic thought of nano art, as a basis for conducting some innovative applications. In the field of painting and using them as two- and three-dimensional works.

The most important results of the study were summarized that experimentation with everything new is nothing but an attempt by the artist to create, innovate, and depart from the normal. Through the works of nano artists, the researcher reached many artistic concepts that develop the innovative artist’s thought and style in a way that is compatible with the nature of the modern era, and the possibility of presenting experimental approaches. Many, whether in form or material, in multiple ways, by taking advantage of artistic features that open the way for communication with other artistic fields that enrich the artistic vision.

The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important one is opening the field of painting to the field of nanotechnology, to keep the pace with the tremendous and rapid development in artistic movements, through which contemporary artistic paintings can be created, and to benefit from the formations and nature depicted with nanotechnology, in enriching the approaches to painting and keeping pace with modern development, directing research. To benefit from the intellectual and scientific philosophy of nanotechnology to keep pace with the age of technology by building innovative works of art.
