Abstract

“Gestalt theory and its benefit in the field of drawing in light of distance education”

Distance education is an important resort in light of the challenges facing most education systems in the world, especially in times of crises, disasters, or epidemics. This had an impact on the researcher in his attempt to use it in the educational and applied aspect of research, as one of the pillars of sustainability in teaching and learning and its applications in the field of teaching arts, in which he attempts to provide experimental approaches and new intellectual starting points that help in producing works of art and drawing, through the study of thought, philosophy and principles. Gestalt theory.

The problem of the study is in the following question: How can we benefit from studying the vision, philosophy, and principles of Gestalt theory as an intellectual starting point in producing works of art and drawing in light of distance education?

In order for the researcher to be able to answer the problem of the study and verify the validity of the research hypotheses, he reviewed the information and knowledge in previous studies related to the subject of the research, using the descriptive analytical method to access that information and knowledge about the nature of gestalt, its laws, and the principles upon which it is based, as well as studies and information about distance education and its types. And how to apply it in the educational process. The semi-experimental approach was also used in the applied side of the research to measure the extent of the possibility of using distance education in the field of teaching arts and - also - to measure the possibility of benefiting from studying the philosophy, principles and laws of Gestalt thought as an input to producing drawing works. The same was the application of the experiment from Students in the fifth year at the Faculty of Art Education, Minya University, consisting of (27) students.

The results of the study resulted in the possibility of using distance education in studying and teaching the arts, and the success of using social media (Facebook and WhatsApp) and their effectiveness in the educational process, as well as the possibility of benefiting from the study of Gestalt theory and the principles and laws it contains and thought in finding artistic experimental approaches to producing works. An artist in the field of drawing.
