Printing products have become in urgent need of applying varnishes during the final finishing processes of the printed matter because it adds a high competitive advantage to the products. It also controls the extent of the customer’s choice of the product and achieves purchasing power for him. Varnishes provide a high degree of protection for the printed products and maintain the brilliance of the printed color. There are many types of varnishes and methods of processing them. In this research, we discuss the comparison between traditional varnishes and LED UV varnishes and the most important thing that distinguishes each method from the other. One of the most important features of LED UV varnishes is that they are used in Braille printing and give personality to the printed product. They can also be classified as hybrid printing technologies. The problem of the research was the emergence of LED UV varnishes technology, which makes it a strong competitor to traditional varnishes. The research aims to clarify the difference between traditional varnishes and LED UV varnishes and what distinguishes each of them from the other and the degree of its impact on the printed product (commercial publications - packaging containers). To reach the goal of the research, the research was studied on two axes. The first is the theoretical axis and includes the theoretical study, which explains the difference between traditional varnishes and LED UV varnishes on printed products. The second is the practical axis and includes an analytical study for presentation to specialists in the field of printing to find out which one we prefer in production - traditional varnishes or LED UV varnishes - on printing products. Also display the products to customers to know which one they prefer to apply. One of the results of the research was that a large percentage of the sample population agreed to rely on LED UV varnishes to apply upon request certain parts of the printed product and not others. It is possible to obtain a uniform varnish film thickness from this technique, and that LED UV varnishes do not pollute the environment and do not harm the health of workers. One of the most important recommendations was that it is preferable to use LED UV varnishes due to the high quality they achieve and meet the customer’s requirements.
