Abstract

Medical tourism is considered one of the most important types of tourism that occupies an advanced position in the world. However, although Egypt enjoys all the natural capabilities and components that God has bestowed on it and which qualify it to be among the ranks of developed countries in this field, it has not yet achieved a significant status. In the field of medical tourism. Recently, there has been a trend toward the need to pay attention to sustainable tourism, given its importance and developmental impact on economic and social aspects. Egypt in general... Siwa Oasis in particular is prevented by its multiplicity of hospitalization sites. Interest in designing therapeutic tourism facilities is considered one of the most important priorities for sustainable tourism development. . This research came to shed light on the thought of “Architect Hassan Fathi,” who excelled in using compatible technology to find design solutions that express our identity by employing available resources and capabilities to achieve environmental compatibility

Research Significance:

The importance of the research came from the necessity of benefiting from the thought of architect Hassan Fathi, who called for the use of compatible technology and its importance in employing the available capabilities and resources in finding design solutions for medical tourism resorts in Siwa Oasis.

Research Problem:

The research problem is summarized in:

- Not highlighting the ideas of architect Hassan Fathi and benefiting from them in designing tourism products with a distinctive character.

- Ignoring interest in medical tourism and its developmental role.

- Not taking advantage of the natural environmental components of Siwa Oasis.

- Neglecting the use of compatible technology called for by architect Hassan Fathi in designing political health resorts.

Research Aim:

The aim of the research is to employ the thought of architect Hassan Fathi to benefit from the natural elements of Siwa Oasis in designing environmentally compatible health resorts.
