Abstract

This research explores the topic of “Creative Solutions and Green Architecture from Concept to Application – Sustainable Interior Design” through an analytical study aimed at clarifying the relationship between interior design and green architecture, and evaluating the effectiveness of creative solutions in promoting sustainability, In light of accelerating environmental changes, there is a growing need to reassess interior design practices and link them to environmental concepts in order to achieve balanced interior environments that combine aesthetics, functionality, and efficiency, The research problem lies in the lack of clear integration between sustainable interior design concepts and green architecture in many interior projects, which leads to environmentally and functionally ineffective solutions. Moreover, practical implementation suffers from weak adoption of sustainable technologies, especially in local environments that face economic and technical challenges The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology. The theoretical part addresses green architecture concepts and sustainable design strategies, with a particular focus on the LEED system as a global benchmark for sustainability, The research also includes an applied study of real-life cases in sustainable interior design by analyzing two project models that have effectively integrated green architecture principles: one international (Arizona State University Student Health Services Building) and one local (Mobinil Headquarters Building). Both were evaluated in terms of design elements, materials, lighting, ventilation, and energy use, The study results indicate that integrating creative solutions with sustainability principles significantly improves indoor environmental quality and reduces energy consumption, while also enhancing users’ environmental and psychological comfort. The research recommends applying sustainability principles from the early design stages, raising environmental awareness, and encouraging the use of local materials in order to achieve balanced, sustainable architectural environments that contribute to an improved quality of life, In conclusion, the study affirms that the use of creative solutions directly contributes to enhancing indoor environmental quality and reducing energy consumption. Sustainable interior design has become an urgent necessity in addressing environmental challenges, and through the improved application of these principles, it is possible to create architectural environments that reflect a true balance between beauty, functionality, and sustainability thereby improving quality of life.
