Abstract

This research presents a future vision for interior and furniture design in high-rise buildings by 2050. This vision aims to provide multiple roles that meet the changing needs of our society and planet. This vision does not aim to predict the future, but rather to stimulate dialogue about possible and desirable possibilities. The ideas presented represent a starting point for discussion among designers, architects, planners, researchers, and users. The focus is on sustainable solutions and smart technologies to make them more adaptable to human and environmental needs. The research addresses the importance of human design, the integration of furniture and technology, the effective use of recyclable materials, and the adaptation of furniture and interior spaces to environmental and social changes. The research also discusses the increasing role of robotics and artificial intelligence in customizing interior spaces, improving user experiences, and increasing resource efficiency. In light of increasing environmental challenges and rapid population growth in urban areas, it has become necessary to rethink the way interior spaces are designed and constructed, especially in high-rise buildings, which represent the future of global urbanization. With the urban population expected to double by 2050, sustainable interior design is emerging as a key solution that balances human comfort with environmental conservation. This new trend relies on integrating smart technology, eco-friendly materials, and multifunctional furniture to provide more efficient and flexible living and working spaces. It also aims to reduce the carbon footprint and improve the quality of life within high-rise buildings, which often lack direct contact with nature. And This research focuses on exploring future trends in room design within high-rise buildings, with a realistic vision of rooms featuring smart and sustainable future furniture that meets the needs of modern people without harming the environment, in preparation for the world of 2050.

• Contributes to guiding designers and engineers towards adopting sustainable solutions in high-rise building design.

• Helps reduce negative environmental impact by promoting the use of recyclable materials.

• Provides a vision of the future of interior spaces that rely on smart technology and robotics.
