Abstract

Abstract:

Revival in the fields of Architecture and Interior Architecture is a process that requires understanding from the designer of design principles and realization of the needs of the building's users, and the relation between this building and the surrounding environment, knowledge for the style that is supposed to be revived with the ability to grasp and apply its philosophy to produce new works, and the awareness of the updates of the design field such as theories, materials, technologies,…etc. and this includes artificial intelligence which has risen strongly in recent times and is increasingly influencing various design fields including architecture and interior architecture, questions have also increased regarding the quality of what Artificial intelligence can present and about ethics of its use by developers and regular users, as artificial intelligence work in the fields of art and design is based on learning or gathering information from multiple sources, can it draw inspiration from heritage and revive artistic and architectural styles properly without ending up merely copying what is old, and without losing the spirit and authenticity of this heritage or falling into the trap of infringing intellectual property rights, or other ethical dilemmas and potential risks that raise concerns for many, and considering revival as a complex process that relies on the human factor (the designer) and its knowledge, skills, creativity, vision, understanding of the heritage…and more. It also consists of various methods and paths in which the designer's mind, affect and experiences play a major role, is it possible to develop artificial intelligence to properly revive heritage and go beyond mere imitation and replication, and reach a stage of creativity, acquiring design skills similar to those of human designers, and in this case will artificial intelligence become a useful tool that helps the designer achieving the best results in the shortest time and with the least effort, or will the development of artificial intelligence reduce human intelligence and creativity, or even lead to the elimination of human factor in the fields of art and design.
